Will it Blend?

BlendTec apparently makes a heck of a blender, and they apparently have a heck of a marketing department. They’re put together a series of videos called “Will it blend?” where they tried to blend…well, all sorts of stuff. And they usually succeed. They put this out on YouTube:

I gotta get me one of these blenders. They start at $400 and go to $825.

Those videos have racked up more than 3 million views. Not bad for a marketing campaign that clearly didn't cost much to execute.

Wow, what an entertaining start to my morning! Thanks for the find. I also continue to be intrigued by the ever-growing usage of YouTube as a commercial tool. I'd wager it's becoming almost as effective as a 30-second television spot, at a cost of, well, free....

Hahaha... Little did I know, Starbucks employs Blendtec units to make Frappuchino, a coffee "blend" with fine ice crystals. I saw two units today at the Taipei 101 store.
