Learning the Linux Command Shell

LinuxCommand.org: Learn the Linux command line. Write shell scripts.: This appears to be a great site to learn the Linux command shell.

You have Linux installed and running. The GUI is working fine, but you are getting tired of changing your desktop themes. You keep seeing this “terminal” thing.

The formatting is a bit goofy – there’s no way, it seems, to print a tutorial out on a single page. Still, great content.

i spose it's an assumption by gui users that there can only be one [command shell](http://www.faqs.org/faqs/unix-faq/shell/shell-differences/).
